It begins with its rich history dating back to the 1960’s as a leading supplier of travel services focusing on universities, athletic organizations and associations. As a major travel supplier in the collegiate and athletic markets, Worldtek designed some of the most compelling and results-oriented travel solutions for organizations including the NCAA and Yale University.
Worldtek’s approach was direct—providing clients with what they required in order to achieve their goals. At a time when automated registration for meetings and group movements was just a thought in the minds of other travel providers, Worldtek pioneered the foundation for some of the most effective automation that is used today. Their forward-thinking approach led to the creation of ResRunner, which seamlessly automates the registration process for meetings along with providing full online booking for the travel associated with those events.
Through the years, Worldtek’s client base of universities and athletic groups demonstrated their inherent need for seamless 24-hour and emergency support. Responsively, Worldtek created full-service solutions to meet these aggressive requirements. Establishing one of the first and only 24-hour reservation centers on the East Coast, Worldtek offered this round-the-clock functionality long before other travel companies were even talking about the “24/7 dilemmaâ€.
