Tulsa Zoo and Living Museum Conservation Education

Mission
The mission of the Education Department is to help people of all ages develop a better understanding of the natural world. Education programs are conducted on-site and away from the Zoo.

Visiting the Zoo?
Check out some of these educational activities (Weather permitting, some are seasonal. Be sure to check the front gate for changes and additions!):

Attend a Zoo Live Animal Presentation.
Presentations at the Southern Lowlands Amphitheater at 10:30 AM daily. Presentations at the Helmerich Discovery Center are at 1:30 PM Saturdays and Sundays (Daily from April 1 to Oct 1)

Visit the Nature’s Attic and Oklahoma Room in the Helmerich Discovery Center. Weekdays from 11:00-12:30 and weekends from 1:00 to 3:00.

Attend a Keeper Talk/Animal Feeding:
• California Sea Lions (2:30 pm daily, April 1st-October 31st)
• Sharks (11:00 am Mon/Wed/Sat, year-round)
• Penguins (1:30 pm Fri/ Sat/ Sun, year-round)
• Aldabra Tortoises (11:30 am Mon/Thurs/Sat, summer only)
• Alligators (1:30 pm, Tues and Thurs, summer only)

Stop by the Nature Exchange. Thursdays and Fridays 12:00-5:00 pm OR Saturdays and Sundays 10:00 – 5:00 pm.
