Featured Online Exhibit!
* Camp Atlanta - A WW2 German POW Camp in Nebraska!
Man's Humanity to Man
One of the features that sets this museum apart from other museums is our unique POW display. German POW's were housed at Camp Atlanta (just South of Holdrege) during W.W. II. These prisoners told stories of their exceptional treatment and lifelong friendships that developed through the adversity of war.
The POW guard tower is a replica of the tower that stood at Camp Atlanta. Other out buildings on the property include a Lutheran Church, windmill, one room school house, and the newly acquired Sam Anderson farm house that has recently been fully restored.
