ABOUT US
After many years in management with one of the top transportation related companies in the country, Chuck Hill decided to take something that he enjoyed as a hobby and turn it into a small business. This hobby was traveling in his motor coach that he had renovated into a recreational vehicle. With this idea came the birth of Heartland Motor Coach Company, in 1988. Maryville, a small town in northwest Missouri, was to be the home of Heartland.
Starting with only two, older model coaches, Mr. Hill embarked on a mission to build a Christian based, motor coach transportation company. The company was to provide a high quality, safe ride for customers during their trips.
Since those early days, Heartland has moved to St. Joseph, Missouri to better serve the Kansas City, Omaha and Des Moines markets. Motor coaches have been upgraded to mainly late model MCI coaches ranging from 33 to 56 passengers, and has increased to almost 30 in number. In-house maintenance and refurbishment of outside client coaches has also been added (see the coach service pages of this website for more information).
Heartland now prides itself on having the 'cleanest coaches in the Midwest' and holds claim to be an award-winning, premier coach company. Through the years Heartland has come to be known for having safe, courteous, uniformed drivers, utilizing quality equipment and providing a great trip for all who choose to use Heartland.
Heartland Trailways fully understands the simple fact that touring is not just transportation, it is TRANSPORTAINMENT.
