Length: 85 feet

In 1954, Canadian Pacific ordered 36 dome cars to use in two of their trains, the Canadian and the Dominion. The most luxurious of the whole order were 18 dome observation cars called the Park-series. These are named for national and provincial parks in Canada. Each was originally designed with three double bedrooms, a drawing room (sleeps three), an under-dome lounge and bar, and an observation lounge in the rear. The lounge under the dome was called the “Mural Lounge” because it features an oil-on-canvas mural of the park that the cars were named after.
